Planned Giving

Planned Gifts and Their Advantages

What is a Planned Gift?

For many people, philanthropic giving is a lifelong commitment that provides both personal satisfaction and financial benefits.

Now, through the Delta Gamma Center Planned Giving Program, you can give a gift that benefits you and your family, while ensuring programs for children who are blind or visually impaired are available for generations to come.

A charitable planned gift is the result of careful and thoughtful structuring of one’s estate to benefit one or more charitable organizations.  Such a gift is commonly asset-based rather than from current income and often involves a planning process utilizing the services of legal and financial professionals; i.e., estate and tax planning attorneys, accountants and investment advisers.

  • Creation of a legacy which expresses the giver’s deepest convictions.
  • Personal tax advantages for you and your heirs.
  • The satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to the future of the Delta Gamma Center and its mission for generations to come.

  • Endowment gifts serve as an enduring source of support for the growth of the Delta Gamma Center.
  • Growing endowments provide financial stability for the future of the Delta Gamma Center.
  • Each commitment to the future is a building block toward a stronger family and community today.

Endowment Funds

The Delta Gamma Center has a number of programs where bequests or other planned gifts can be directed.

Produces investment income sufficient to balance the annual budget and to fund ongoing operations and programs.

Provides a ready source of funds for repair and/or replacement of buildings, furniture, fixtures and equipment necessary for the effective operation of the Center and its programs.

This endowment will provide funds to procure a variety of enrichment opportunities designed to educate, support and provide inspiration to individuals served by the Delta Gamma Center.

How To Make A Gift

There are a variety of ways in which you might make a charitable gift to the Delta Gamma Center.  Two of the most popular types of planned gifts are:

A bequest allows you to control your assets now and to benefit the Delta Gamma Center in the future.  If you already have a will, a simple amendment to it will suffice.  If you don’t have a will you are not alone.  It is never to early to write a will;  it can only be too late.  Now is a good time to be proactive and create a will that reflect your values.

A charitable gift annuity allows you to transfer a gift of cash or securities while living, but still receive a guaranteed fixed annuity income from it for life, while ensuring future support for the Delta Gamma Center.

In addition to receiving an immediate income tax deduction for a portion of your gift, the income can start at any time you designate.
